Beijing, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- We have drawn up new blueprints for national rejuvenation and worked together to create new historic achievements. The world-famous 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) opened at the Great Hall of the People on Monday morning.

  Is the theme of the conference, holding the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully implement the new era of Chinese characteristic socialism, carry forward the great spirit of the founding, confident and keep innovation, make full of vigour, yong yi, for all-round construction of socialism modernization country, comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and work hard.

The Great Hall of the People is majestic, and the atmosphere in the auditorium is warm. The logo of the Second 10th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was hung above the rodeo. In the middle of the rear screen was the Party emblem composed of a sickle and a hammer. Ten bright red flags were placed on both sides.  "Long live the great, glorious and correct Communist Party of China! ".

 Huan, Wen Jiabao, Jia Qinglin, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Song Ping, Li Lanqing, Zeng Qinghong, Wu Guanzheng, Li Changchun, He Guoqiang, Liu Yunshan, Zhang Gaoli, You Quan, Zhang Qingli.

The meeting was presided over by Li Keqiang. At 10 a.m., the meeting began. The audience stood and sang the national anthem of the People's Republic of China. 

Li Keqiang announced that the Party's 20 National Congress should be attended by 2,296 delegates, 83 special invited delegates, a total of 2,379 people, the actual number of 2,340 today. He extended a warm welcome to friends outside the Party and comrades in charge of relevant departments who attended the congress as non-delegates.

 2. Opening up a new realm of adapting Marxism to China and The Times; Iii. The mission and tasks of the CPC in the New Era and the New Journey; 4. Accelerating the establishment of a new development pattern and focusing on high-quality development; 5. Implementing the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and strengthening talent support for modernization; 6. Develop people's democracy throughout the whole process and ensure that the people are masters of the country; 7. Uphold the rule of law in an all-round way and promote the rule of law in China; 8. Promote cultural confidence and self-improvement, and create new glory for socialist culture; 9. Improve people's wellbeing and quality of life; 10. Promote green development and harmonious coexistence between man and nature; 11. Promote the modernization of national security systems and capabilities, and resolutely safeguard national security and social stability; 12. Realizing the Centenary Goal of founding the Army and opening up new prospects for the modernization of national defense and the armed forces; 13. Uphold and improve "One country, two Systems" and promote national reunification; 14. Promote world peace and development and build a community with a shared future for mankind; Xv. Unswervingly exercising full and strict Party governance and deepening the great new project of Party building in the new era.

 We will continue to push forward socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era with a vigorous and promising spirit. Over the past five years, our Party has united and led the people in overcoming many long-standing problems, accomplishing many major and important tasks concerning the long term, and making major achievements in the cause of the Party and the country that have attracted worldwide attention.

 Second, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. Third, we will accomplish the historic task of poverty alleviation and building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and achieve the first centenary Goal. This is a historic victory won by the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people through concerted efforts, a historic victory that will go down in the history of the development of the Chinese nation, and a historic victory with far-reaching implications for the world.

 We founded the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, strengthened the Party's leadership in all respects, and realized the thousand-year dream of the Chinese nation of moderately prosperous prosperity. We made scientific and complete strategic plans for the development of the cause of the Party and country in the new era, put forward and implemented the new vision for development, acted with great political courage to comprehensively deepen reform, and adopted a more proactive strategy of opening up. We will adhere to the socialist path of political development with Chinese characteristics, establish and uphold the fundamental system of Marxism as the guiding force in the field of ideology, fully implement the thought of people-centered development, adhere to the idea that lucid-water and lush mountains are invaluable assets, implement the overall vision of national security, establish the Party's goal of building a strong military in the new era, and fully and accurately advance the practice of "one country, two systems". We will comprehensively advance major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics and comprehensively enforce strict Party governance. At the same time, we must be soberly aware that our work still has some shortcomings and faces many difficulties and problems.

 Having gone through a century-long struggle, the CPC has become even stronger in its revolutionary endeavor, and has always become a strong leadership core in the historical process of upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. The Chinese people have a stronger driving force, a stronger spirit of struggle, and a stronger belief in victory. The CPC and the Chinese people are full of confidence in advancing the great leap of the Chinese nation from standing up, growing rich to becoming strong.

 To continue to advance theoretical innovation based on practice, we must first grasp the worldview and methodology of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and make good use of the positions, views and methods that permeate it. We should put the people first, be confident and independent, be honest and innovative, be problem-oriented, be systematic, and bear the world in mind.

 On the road ahead, we must firmly grasp the major principles: uphold and strengthen the Party's overall leadership, adhere to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, adhere to the philosophy of people-centered development, deepen reform and opening up, and carry forward the spirit of struggle.

 We will build a high-level socialist market economy, develop a modern industrial system, comprehensively promote rural revitalization, promote coordinated development among regions, and advance high-level opening up.

 We will give priority to education development, pursue self-reliance in science and technology, and promote talent development, and accelerate efforts to make China strong in education, science and technology, and human resources.

 We will strengthen institutional guarantees for the running of the country by the people, comprehensively develop consultative democracy, actively develop community-level democracy, and consolidate and develop the broadest possible patriotic united front.

 We should improve the socialist legal system with Chinese characteristics with the Constitution at its core, make solid progress in law-based administration, strictly and fairly administer justice, and speed up the building of a law-based society.

 We will improve the distribution system, implement the employment-first strategy, improve the social security system, and promote the building of a healthy China.

 We need to speed up the green transformation of our development model, intensify efforts to prevent and control environmental pollution, enhance the diversity, stability and sustainability of our ecosystems, and actively yet prudently promote peak carbon neutrality.

 We should improve the national security system, enhance our ability to safeguard national security, improve public security governance, and improve the social governance system.

 We should comprehensively strengthen military training and preparation for war, comprehensively strengthen military governance, and consolidate and improve the strategic system and capacity of integrated countries.

 We will govern Hong Kong and Macao in accordance with the law, implement the central government's overall governance power, implement the principles of "patriots administering Hong Kong" and "patriots administering Macao", and support Hong Kong and Macao in better integrating into the overall development of the country and playing a better role in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We must strive for the prospect of peaceful reunification with utmost sincerity and utmost efforts, but reserve the option of taking all necessary measures. The complete reunification of the motherland will and will be achieved.

 China firmly pursues an independent foreign policy of peace, develops friendship and cooperation with other countries on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, and adheres to the basic state policy of opening up. The Chinese people are ready to work with the people of the world to create an even better future for mankind.

He stressed the need to adhere to and strengthen the centralized and unified leadership of the CPC Central Committee, continue to use the Thought on socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New era to consolidate the core, improve the Party's self-revolutionary system and standard system, build a team of high-quality officials worthy of the task of national rejuvenation, enhance the political and organizational functions of Party organizations, and adhere to the strict tone of strengthening integrity and discipline. We will resolutely win a protracted battle against corruption.

Current or former vice chairmen of the Standing Committee of the NPC and vice chairmen of the CPPCC National Committee, vice chairmen of the central committees of the democratic parties in Beijing and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, deputies without party affiliation, representatives from religious circles, and members of the democratic parties, non-party parties, and ethnic and religious circles who are members of the Standing Committee of the NPC and the CPPCC National Committee in Beijing attended the conference as guests. Relevant Party leaders also attended the congress as non-voting delegates.

About 2,500 Chinese and foreign journalists covered the opening ceremony.
